Northwood offers 2 tennis courts where members can enjoy playing tennis.  Northwood also has a hitting wall for practicing tennis.  Weekday lessons are available for our youth members.  Information regarding lessons will be posted at the pool.

Please remember that only smooth soled tennis shoes are allowed on the courts.  A shirt and shoes must be worn at all times.  In addition, the courts are to be used for tennis activities and not as a playground.

Tennis Information and Schedule

For the summer of 2009, NW features Tennis Pro Alex Persinger and his assistant is Justin Harris. Alex (a North Hagerstown senior) is The Herald-Mail’s 2009 All-County Boys Tennis Player of the Year!!

They are giving lessons at the following times, no sign up required and for members only.

8:15 – 9:15 AM – Beginners
9:30 – 10:30 – Intermediate
11:00 – 12:00 – Advanced
6:00 – 7:00 PM – Adult Lessons on Mondays

Shirt, shoes and racket are required. Come join in for the fun and training at Northwood!

Tennis Keys

Tennis locks remain the same as last year. For new members, if you paid for a tennis key with your membership you will need to pick up your key at the pool. The tennis key only allows you to enter through the tennis court gate when the pool is closed. Any time the pool is open, a member must enter through the main entrance and register as they would if entering the pool. This allows us to keep an accurate account of who is on the property during operating hours.
